Educational & Nonfiction Editorial Review
Couch Fiction is a graphic novel that explores the concept of therapy through storytelling, following the fictional narrative of a successful barrister struggling with kleptomania. Philippa Perry has written an accessible and engaging book, with Junko Graat delivering simple yet effective artwork that supports the story without being distracting. What sets this book apart is the way Perry demonstrates how a therapeutic relationship can produce change in both therapist and client. While the graphic design doesn't offer much, the book is thought-provoking and educational, offering a fresh approach to psychotherapy. It's a great gift for professionals and students alike.
