The SPC Performance 7112B 14" Air Cleaner Recessed Base has received mixed reviews from customers. While the quality of the product is decent, some customers have had trouble with it fitting properly on their carburetors. One reviewer noted that the base hit the choke on their Motorcraft 4200 4bbl and had to purchase a spacer to make it work, while another mentioned that they needed a 1" or less drop but found that the product had about a 1.5 inch drop. However, the finish on the base was good and any issues with the carb hole being out of round could be fixed with a gasket. Another customer had to make a spacer to properly fit the base to their Edelbrock carb.
