Black+Decker 40V MAX String Trimmer/Edger and Sweeper Combo is a great deal that offers good value for its price. The battery provides 30 minutes of run time on full power, which is twice what other trimmers would do, and the device is powerful enough to cover three times as much ground in that time. One downside is the length, which is short for people who are 5'7". The trimmer is good for concrete and paved surfaces and decking but does not have a long enough pole for edging, embankments, or underbrush. The included blower is lightweight and easy to use, but it is not very powerful and can only be used for light blowing tasks. The battery life is not satisfactory, and it can barely run a single tool for more than 30 minutes. However, additional or aftermarket batteries can be purchased. In general, this tool works well for trimming and clearing small yards.
