U&I Entertainment Games PP01466 Editorial Review
The Persistence is a genre mash-up of space horror, roguelite, and stealth that offers a fresh experience on the Nintendo Switch. The gameplay is a first-person stealth/horror romp where you must avoid/eliminate creepy enemies and improve your odds of survival. The slow movement speed and clunky combat add to the tension of the game. With roguelite elements, dying will lead to starting over but with persistent currency upgrades. The Switch port of the game is solid, with clear resolution and consistent frame rate. While the overall experience could have been enhanced, The Persistence is a hidden gem in the Switch's library that delivers a unique horror experience.
