Action & Adventure Editorial Review
Merlin: The Complete Series offers a fresh perspective on the Arthurian legend, focusing on young adults navigating magic and destiny in Camelot. Featuring a talented cast, including Colin Morgan and Katie McGrath, the show uniquely intertwines character-driven narratives with overarching themes of good versus evil. As the series progresses, the character development shines, with humor and darker elements balanced effectively. The complete DVD set not only boasts the original episodes but also includes a bonus disc with exclusive content, making it an appealing choice for fans who enjoy behind-the-scenes features. Despite a long-winded conflict regarding Merlin's secret magic, the show maintains strong storytelling through its well-crafted characters. Overall, it's a captivating series that's family-friendly yet engaging for adult audiences too.
