It can be horizontally mounted if the larger bag being attached to has horizontal Molle attachments or by feeding a belt through the Molle. One potential downside is that the pouch has pockets with orange lining, which may not be to everyone's liking. However, customers have praised Vanquest for its high-quality Construction and flexibility in finding alternative uses for their products if they didn't meet their initial expectations. Although the pouch has Molle on the back, it does not come with straps to attach it to a larger Molle-compatible backpack.
