StewMac Hardware 4982-SB Editorial Review
The Waverly Guitar Strap Button is a high-quality piece of kit made of ebony and comes with a brass insert and a screw. However, it does not come with a felt washer. The ebony material is hard and brittle, prone to cracking and splitting. It is essential to ensure that the base of the peg sits flat on the area of the heel during installation. The product looks great once installed and matches the fretboard and bridge. The screw furnished is soft, and the lip at the bottom breaks quickly during installation, according to some customers. Using an electric screwdriver should be avoided. The product is slightly smaller than the original, making attaching the strap easier but without any danger of falling off accidentally. Overall, it is a great product, but customers need to understand the nature of the ebony material and its installation needs.
