There are three screw holes on each bracket in a triangular pattern. The shelf attaches with four 'L' brackets. To install, you have to drill holes, and there is no template. The tray is all black, and the package includes all the proper hardware. Customers have commented that the product is solid enough, but it cannot actually be locked in place.
