WOODRIVER Accessories Editorial Review
The Spindle Steady Rest is designed to help woodworkers keep their workpieces steady and avoid vibration during turning. The product has 3 ball bearing wheels with a diameter of 7/8 inch. It can fit bed gaps of 1-3/8" or 1-3/4". The product has received mixed reviews from customers. Some have reported that it did not fit well on their mini-lathes or was not compatible with their machines. One customer had to grind the metal piece and cut off the bolt to make it fit his machine, which made the center of the spindle off with the lathe. Another customer found the quality of the product to be poor, with rough edges and terrible quality. Despite these negative reviews, the Spindle Steady Rest has received positive feedback from some customers who found it to be useful and effective in keeping their workpieces steady and reducing vibration during turning. In conclusion, the Spindle Steady Rest may work for some woodworkers with compatible machines and can help to reduce vibration during turning. However, customers should be aware that the dimensions may not fit all mini-lathes and the quality might not meet their standards.
