The Tiffen 58mm 81B Filter is a great addition for outdoor photography. When the filter is added to your lens it lessens the amount of orange-ish / yellow-ish light reaching the film/sensor, so outdoor scenes look less harsh and contrasted. The filter gives a slight warmth to the photos, creating a more interesting and natural look. It's a helpful tool, especially for novice and intermediate photographers who are not familiar or comfortable with white balance setting functions or using software to warm an image. Even though the filter's effects can be performed with decent software packages nowadays, it's still a great option for photographers who prefer using filters. The build quality is decent, and the product works as advertised, without any issue of image vignetting.
