Action & Adventure Editorial Review
King Kong has been remade more times than I can keep count; however, the 2005 adaptation is a movie that stands out in the crowd. The movie is legendary in the film industry and maintains the original quality by keeping it in the year 1933. The story line is also better detailed in this version than others. Though the movie is long, it had to be to do it right. The extended cut is the best way to see this movie, so make sure you only watch that version. The 4K UHD HDR is impressive in every category, the picture quality is fantastic, and the colors pop. Unlike other 4K UHD HDR movies, there is no noticeable grain in King Kong, even up close in dark scenes. The sound is also outstanding.
