Zoom Microphones Editorial Review
The Zoom Condenser Microphone (Am7) is a great addition for those looking to improve their phone or tablet audio recording quality. The microphone produces stereo sound, making it a step up from mono internal microphones. It is compatible with most Android devices and can be used with any app after using the proprietary app to configure it. There are some reported issues with interference and strong clicks, but this may be due to the use of wireless connections. It is recommended to record on Airplane Mode to prevent these issues. Additionally, the microphone does not come with a case and may not fit phones with cases, but a short USB-C extender can be used to reduce/remove RF noise. Overall, it is a great purchase for those looking to upgrade their mobile device's audio recording capabilities.
