It weighs just under 4 lbs for the router motor in the fixed base, with a kit of 8 lbs including the case, router, wrenches, and edge guide. The edge guide is not essential for the functioning of the router, but it is useful for precise routing on edges and making straight cuts. The router is compatible with a template guide RA1109, and other Bosch router models like PR10, 1617 and 1618.
