Plantronics All PC Headsets Editorial Review
The Plantronics USB Binaural Headset is ideal for use in a quiet home office and is perfect for soft phone and conferencing applications. It delivers great audio quality and is very lightweight and comfortable. The on-cable buttons are great for easy muting with an audible alert, volume adjustment, and call end. However, the ear cushions feel a little cheap and it's not recommended for use in noisy environments. The headset is versatile and can be used with Mac, PC, and mobile phones without any issues. The sound quality for video calls is good, but listening to music is not the greatest. The in-line remote could use some tactile markings for easier use. The fit is good, and the boom mic is easy to adjust. The headset adapts well to just about any environment if you don't mind the cable. The microphone is very sensitive and delivers excellent sound quality, very clear with a nice broadcast sound to your voice. The earpads can become uncomfortable if used for extended periods, especially during long meetings of more than an hour. Overall, the Plantronics USB Binaural Headset offers durability, functionality, and great sound quality for its intended audience. However, it's not noise-blocking or noise-canceling, so it's not ideal for use in open office floor plans or communal areas.
