Economic decline, disinvestment, redlining and racialtensions contributed to a crumbling infrastructure, poverty and rampant arson of itsbuildings, giving it the appearance of a war zone. At the same time, it was also creatingrap music and break dancing. During that period, Robert Danville Jr. dreamed of movingfrom the poorest county in New York – Bronx County to its richest county – WestchesterCounty. Although they are neighboring counties, they seem to be miles apart. Robertoften sees the commuter train connecting the two counties pass through hisneighborhood.
