These bumper plates are ideal for those who need an affordable option for their home gym. They are Olympic size plates, with a 2" center hole, and weigh one dollar per pound. While they are not recommended for use with dumbbells, they do work well with traditional barbells. The dimensions of each plate vary, but the largest plates, the 45s, are about 3 inches thick. When they arrive, there may be a strong chemical smell. This is common for rubber products, and it is recommended to leave them outside for a few days, preferably in direct sunlight, until the smell dissipates. These plates are a great option for those on a budget, but keep in mind that they may have a strong smell that takes time to dissipate.
