Ages 12 and Over Format Movies Editorial Review
Los tortuga [DVD] is a poignant drama directed by Belén Funes, delving into the emotional complexities of familial relationships amidst challenges like migration and economic hardship. The film, with a runtime of 1 hour and 58 minutes, explores the intricate dynamics between a mother and daughter, reflecting on loss and the impact of one's actions. While some viewers found it engaging and insightful, others felt the narrative was somewhat lacking in dialogue and character interaction, leading to a diluted storyline. Despite its ambitions, the film may leave some audiences wanting more depth in its exploration of personal struggles.
