It can be powered by both batteries and mains, although when using batteries alone, the screen goes dim after 15 seconds and requires pressing the button on top to brighten it again. For continuous brightness, it needs to be plugged in. One user reported a faulty reading of -27 degrees outside. It was suggested that if the sun is shining on the weather station, the reading might be too high. Placing it in the shade should give a more accurate reading. The display of the weather station shows the current temperatures Constantly, but for min/max temperatures, the button on the back needs to be pressed. Setting the clock is quite straightforward. By pressing and holding the set button on the back, the hours start flashing and can be adjusted using the up/down buttons. The forecasting information on this weather station is based on changes in barometric pressure. While it may not be as accurate as professional weather forecasts, it is Considered a fun feature. Setting up the year requires pressing and holding the setup button on the back until the date appears and starts flashing. Using the up or down buttons, the date can be adjusted. Once setup is complete, the display information stops flashing and returns to normal. The weather station comes with its own outdoor sensor, which is automatically linked to the main unit. Overall, the B07w5n22nl weather station is a reliable product that provides accurate weather information. It has a good display layout with large and clear digital figures. The only downside mentioned is that the viewing angle is not as wide as some more expensive weather stations.
