Blu-ray Editorial Review
King And Country Vintage Classics [Blu-ray] [Region B] is a compelling anti-war film directed by Joseph Losey, well-regarded for its powerful portrayal of the psychological impact of war. The film features notable performances by Dirk Bogarde and Tom Courtenay, who navigate the tense dynamics of a court-martial for desertion during WWI. Viewers have praised the stunning quality of this Blu-ray release, highlighting the crisp black and white photography and thoughtful restoration. As one reviewer noted, the film is not merely about winning wars but delves into the daily struggles faced by soldiers in the trenches, making it a must-watch for history and war film enthusiasts.
